Applicant qualifications:
Applicant must be planning to attend or currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution
Has a connection to the Saunders Team (client, community partner, referral partner, event participant, or extended community member)
Demonstrates community involvement, leadership, or meaningful contribution within a group or organization
Academic grades are not the primary determining factor to qualify for the Foundations and Futures scholarship
Who can apply:
This scholarship is awarded through nominations from others; individuals can also apply on their own behalf
A single application per individual is allowed, duplicate submissions will not be considered
How recipients are selected:
All qualified applicants will be entered into a lottery-style draw. This approach ensures fairness and accessibility while honouring students who actively make a positive impact around them.
Verification and award process:
Qualifying recipients must provide valid proof of enrolment before scholarship funds are released. Acceptable documentation may include an official acceptance letter, tuition receipt, or formal enrolment verification from the institution. Failure to provide documentation within the requested timeframe may result in forfeiture of the award and selection of an alternate recipient.
Scholarship award benefit:
The awarded recipient will receive a one-time $1,000 award, issued directly to their post-secondary institution to help offset tuition costs and support their educational journey.
Award frequency and timing:
The Saunders Real Estate Team is proud to offer this scholarship once each year in support of local students pursuing post-secondary education
Nominations are welcomed throughout the year, with the submission period closing annually on June 15
The selected recipient will be contacted by June 30 and celebrated for their achievements and contributions to the community
